ILR Application: using salaried employment for evidence of finance. Do I need to mention my self employed too?

Hi,

Please I am applying for my ILR on completion of my 5 years spouse visa.

We are relying on my income for the application.

I have been in full time employment since April 2017 till present with annual salary of over £31,000. Although I changed employer once. I have all payslips and letter from employer with bank statement too.?

I will be relying on my salaried employment as I believe it meets the requirement.

However I was self employed for 5 months( Nov 2016 to March 2017) prior to my my salaried employment which I started April 2017. My ltd company has been dormant from 2017 till date. All tax paid and self assessment up to date.

My question is do I need to mention anything about my self employed on my application even if I am relying on my salaried employment?

On the application form, I picked employment as my source of income but it then asked if I was a director of ltd company in Uk. I clicked yes and it is asking me to provide long list of document stated for self employed.

Pls help! Thanks.

Which route did your spouse use to get their ILR?

My understanding is that your income/job/business doesn't matter if you are on a dependent visa..

No. You don’t need to mention urself as a company director or ur self employment what matters is that you have been employed for more than 6 months and you fulfil the earning threshold..
Ur ltd company has not been trading for more than a year so it doesn’t figure..

Since I have a registered ltd company and down as a director although company is dormant. If I say no to the question asking if I am a director, I am worried that will come across as me being deceptive.

How is it deceptive?
The purpose of the question is to validate the financial requirement.
Do you receive any income from ur limited company?
Does that income make up any part of the 18,600 p.a required?
Clearly not as you have a job and ur company isn't trading either.
If you feel its deceptive then write up a covering letter stating that you are a director but do not receive any income from it as you now hold a job that covers the earnings.
