Hi, I need a small clarification.

Present status: I am on Tier 2 general visa working for ABC company in UK.

Few of my friends have set up a company in UK and trading is not started yet.
Now all of them are in india and i am in UK , so I am helping them out to establish the business without getting any pay as a software developer.

I have become the director of there company and working not more than 10 hrs a week.

Can i do this or it might impact my ILR any way ?

Regards
Manju

"Tier 2 (General) workers are not permitted to enter self-employment, set-up a business or join another business as a director or partner without obtaining further permission from the Home Office. They are also not allowed to hold more than 10% shares in the company they are working for.

Also, was your COS issued under 'software developer'

 This is shocking to me. I always thought that you can start/maintain a limited company whilst on a Tier 2 visa.

I was on a PSW in 2013 when I registered a Limited company. I got my T2G in Jan-2014 and extension in 2016 without any problem. The company has always filed dormant accounts (and have once filed it late). IS THAT GOING TO BE A PROBLEM for ILR!?
