ILR or Direct citizenship for a non UK born child. Parents with ILR.

Hi,

I and my wife have ILR in UK and we'll be eligible to apply citizenship by Feb-2020
My son (born in India) is currently on Tier2-dependant visa valid till December-2019.

Is there any way of applying direct citizenship for my son (along with us) rather than getting his ILR, just for covering two months gap?

Please advice!

Thanks.

He needs ILR.

Why did not apply his ILR along with you? as per my understanding is that children are eligible to apply when parents apply irrespective of duration of stay.

Thank you for the comments katanayi.

My son was not here with us when we applied but now that he is here we are looking for options.

Also, we did not want to spend the hefty ILR fee for covering his two months gap.

Thanks
