Tier-2 General 4 months gap

Hi,

I started working in the UK on Tier-2 General, in March 2014. It's already been 5 years (minus the 28 days in advance that I could apply earlier for ILR).

I have changed employment 4 times during this time. All of them sponsored my visa and I got extensions every time.

In my previous job, I got redundant and it took me 4 months to find a new (current) job. I.e. there was a gap of 4 months before I started my new job again and I didn't do any other jobs during this time. My old visa had a couple of years left to expire, and I never received any letter from the Home Office regarding curtailment. I reckon this happened because my old job forgot to inform Home Office immediately?

Now my question is, would this pose a problem to my 5 years and ILR application?

Regards

There is no longer an 'employment gap' rule and restriction. It was removed over the a year ago from the immigration rules.
