Passport renewal and vary to ilr

Hi all ,
I have applied for ilr (tier 1 ,5 year route )and my wife applied for pbs dependant extension on 15 th January 2019 .got few doubt about my wife passport renewal and varying her application to ilr if someone could give an advise on this that would be a great help .
1) my wife’s tier 1 pbs dependant visa issued from India on 29/04/2014 and entered uk on 11/05/2014 ,on what date she can vary her application to ilr ?
1) my wife’s Indian passport is expiring on 1 st of March and if I apply for a new passport will that affect her current application ? Should I need to inform this to the home office now or can I submit the new passport along with the ilr application?

She will qualify for ILR on 29/04/2019 minus 28 days
1) my wife’s Indian passport is expiring on 1 st of March and if I apply for a new passport will that affect her current application ? Should I need to inform this to the home office now or can I submit the new passport along with the ilr application?
Did you use the new service? So you have her passport with you? I think its best to get a new passport as it should be valid at ILR application. You can just incase write a cover letter and explain the situation attaching the copy of old and new passport both should be ok

Hi All,
I try to apply renew my wife indian passport before vary her application from pbs dependant to ilr . but unfortunately vfs is not accepting the application as she have no valid uk visa now .
can I vary my wife application without a valid passport ?

I suggest to get a new passport then vary. Your covering letter will inform UKVI of the ew passport too.
Applying for a new passport should not affect her application however I assume your country's embassy will ask to have her lapsed old passport which you do not have ?!

Hi Zimba,
Thanks for your advice. I went to Liverpool VFS to renew the passport but they didn’t accept the application as I don’t have valid visa .i showed my proof of application and explained the situation but they didn’t accept.
Then I have contacted India consulate in Birmingham and they ask me to come to the Birmingham cgi .next day I went there and They wrote a note on the application form and send me back to the VFS . Then VFS accepted the application and I got the renewed passport in two weeks . Just sharing the experience it may help if some one in same situation.
