ILR 5 Year Spouse Route savings required/please advise

Hi, would be very grateful if anyone here could please clarifying the amount of savings required for ILR on the 5 year spouse route. We have seen the figure of £34,600, but on Home Office site it appears to be £46,500 (see chart on 7.2.4 page 49 https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... ext_1_.pdf)
While an immigration adviser we're talking to is advising it remains at £62,500 for ILR (realise it's this level for entry clearance and FLR, but thought lower for ILR).

Also, does anyone know how declaration of savings works? Source is my husband's self employment and my life savings. Does it seem sufficient we provide 6 months bank statements and simply state source on form as "my husband's savings from self employment and my life savings"? Or will we need to further evidence with HMRC docs, tax returns, invoices etc all in a similar way to if meeting financial requirement through self employment? Or even a solicitor or accountant somehow 'signing off' or certifying source of savings?

We're trying to make application as simple as possible, and savings would work if amount is still set at £34,600 and only 6 months statements requirement.

Thanks in advance, Lil

For SET(M) the savings level is £34,600. As the first £16,000 is disregarded the calculation is:
£34,600 - £16,000 = £18,600

Your 'legal advisor' should know this.

Thanks Casa, if you or anyone can please take a look at link:

7.2.4 page 49 https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... ext_1_.pdf

We thought too it was £34,600, but called Home Office and adviser directed us to link above and informed it's £46,500 as outlined in chart in link. A bit confused because we're being given three different figures, but previously always understood it was £34,600! Maybe rules have changed recently?

Also if anyone knows whether declaration of savings simply involves stating on form source (in our case everything legitimate being my husband's savings from self employment and my life savings from previous work before becoming a mum) and showing 6 month bank statements. Asking because an immigration adviser has suggested we need a lawyer to 'sign off' on source, which doesn't sound right!

Thanks for reading : )

From the Immigration Rules regarding specified evidence of savings:
11. In respect of cash savings the following must be provided:
(a) Personal bank statements showing that at least the level of cash savings relied upon
in the application has been held in an account(s) in the names of the person and
their partner jointly throughout the period of 6 months prior to the date of application.
(b) A declaration by the account holder(s) of the source(s) of the cash savings.

Thanks Casa for the further info. Bit confusing for us, Home Office adviser when we called and our immigration adviser, in fact solicitor, stating different figures from £34,600. Thanks again : )
