Out of country for longer than 180 days for Medical Reason

Hi,
My wife is currently on Tier-2 dependent, which is expiring in Jan 2020. But she will complete her 5 years of residency as Tier-2 dependent in Aug 2019, while I received my British Citizenship about an year ago.
My wife had to go back to Pakistan to get some medical treatment done for our daughter. She went back in Oct 2018 and she will be back in UK in June 2019. As we had to do private treatment done for her immediately and we couldn't afford private treatment in UK and NHS queue for her treatment was around 9 months.
Now my question is, as she is coming back to UK in June 2019 and we will go for her ILR application in Aug 2019 (as she will complete 5 years in Aug 2019), my understanding is that we can submit my daughter's medical reports from NHS and his treatment details in Pakistan as an evidence of her (my wife) being outside of UK for more than 180 days. Can someone please advise if you had similar experience with your application? Also, is their a rule that the applicant should be in UK for the last three months by the time he/she is applying for ILR?
Thanks for all the help!
