Online application for ILR

Hi,

I will complete my 5 years on Tier 2 General on 26/05/2019.

We have some questions when filling the online form.
1 ) When did you first enter the UK?

I applied for Tier 2 General from the UK when I was on Post Study Work
My PSW visa details are here:
25/04/2012 To 25/04/2014 - Post Study Work validity
travel dates on this visa
25/05/2012 Entry
10/02/2013 - 03/03/2013 (Travel exit and entry)
20/02/2014 - 07/03/2014 (Travel exit and entry)

Then while I was still in UK I applied for first Tier 2 General on 24/04/2014 (just before PSW expiry) and it's validity started from 27/05/2014.

What date should I put here?

2) Have you spent any of your two, three or five year continuous period (as appropriate) with leave to enter or remain in the Crown Dependencies?
For Dependant we have this question, we never travelled to any other country except India in the past 5 years. Should the answer be 'No'?

3) Does the period of stay on which this application was based include any leave granted since 11 January 2018?
For dependant, we have this question. We are confused with the question here. Does this mean if my partner got the PBS Dependant visa before or after 11 January 2018? She got her visa same time as mine 27/05/2014.

4) Last question, Can the employer letter be addressed to UKVI any branch, because my employer letter about leaves and all details is addressing UKVI in Bermondsey (Becket House, 60-68 St Thomas St, Bermondsey, London SE1 3QU), is it fine? I will be applying in the Croydon branch though or by post.

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Kind regards

1. Your first entry i.e. 25/05/2012
2. No.
3. I think this question is for absence check of PBS dependent.
Any visa issued after 11 January 2018 is subjected to absence check.
If your spouse Visa (including extension) was granted before 11th Jan, 2018 then say 'NO'.
4. No need to mention the branch and address.
Simply address to
Immigration Officer
Home Office
United Kingdom.

What date should I put here?

27/5/2014.. this question states that it is based on your qualifying period only

2) Have you spent any of your two, three or five year continuous period (as appropriate) with leave to enter or remain in the Crown Dependencies?
For Dependant we have this question, we never travelled to any other country except India in the past 5 years. Should the answer be 'No'?

Obviously

3) Does the period of stay on which this application was based include any leave granted since 11 January 2018?
For dependant, we have this question. We are confused with the question here. Does this mean if my partner got the PBS Dependant visa before or after 11 January 2018? She got her visa same time as mine 27/05/2014.
It asks it any part of the qualifying period (5 years) that is even if your current visa/brp was issued after 11th Jan 2018. If it was only after 11th Jan 2018 dependents are subject to absences, otherwise not. What is the issue date on the current brp you hold?

4) Last question, Can the employer letter be addressed to UKVI any branch, because my employer letter about leaves and all details is addressing UKVI in Bermondsey (Becket House, 60-68 St Thomas St, Bermondsey, London SE1 3QU), is it fine? I will be applying in the Croydon branch though or by post.
Simply to “Home Office” or “To Whom It May Concern”

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Kind regards

Hi thanks for the reply both!

Other questions is fine but I have two different replies for my first question:

1) When did you first enter the UK?

Still confused!

Read closely the question says “based on your qualifying period”. You switched inside UK so that will be your Tier 2 issue date.

I have always used my date of entry as Tier 1 issue date as I switched inside UK from PSW also and the question clearly states “based on qualifying period”. My extension and ILR both were granted. Having said that, true this is not a question they will refuse you on.

Thanks both again!

Final question (and I remembered later): what evidence can I give as part of my partner's application to show we have stayed together for past 5 years?

I have our marriage certificate, child's uk birth certificate, do they need any evidence like utility bills to show that we stayed together, because we don't have any bills that has got her name on them.

Thanks
