Hi All,

My Husband applied for his ILR TIER-1 50K (5 years route) and me & my son (6months,born outside UK) applied for PBS DEPENDENT extension on 24th of april. me and my son attend Biometric appointment on 15th of May.
Today i have recieved Email from HO ( Case worker) asking about My original Passport to be send ( but not for my son) and bank statements to show funds £1260 for both of us.
So my questions are..

* why they have asked about my original passport ? is it normal to ask ?

* i have attached my bank statement for my application having balance above £1000 all the time and my husband bank statement for my son application & we have mention it on Cover letter as well.. So why they have asked again?
And if I'm not wrong we can use two statement to show maintenance funds, Right ??

* any best option or solution for this ?
Please advise on this.

Many Thanks.

No one can really answer why they asked for your original passport. There can be multiple reasons for it. Maybe the scan copies are not of good quality or any other reason.

You have to follow HO instructions and send them your passport as requested.

As long as maintenance funds is required, you need to show £630 for yourself and £630 for your son so a total of £1260 for more than 90 days.

Is your £1000 balance been there for more than 90 days? Has more than £260 balance been in your husbands account for more than 90 days?

I would add a cover letter and the same bank statements again and provide an explanation for the above.
Also, would provide a consent letter from the husband to do any verification checks HO requires if you are relying on his bank statement.

Sometimes CW needs an extra nudge to wake up.

Thanks a lot Tier1147 for your reply. So does it mean Main Applicant application has been processed ?
Also we attached 2 statements, 1 for me & 1 for my son( my husband statement for him) and both shows Balance above £1000, as for each dependent u must have min of £620 for 90 days, Yes its been there for 90 days.
We add cover letter and mention it, but as u said sometime we need to give extra nudge to CW.

Please advise again
Regards.

I cant comment on if the main applicant’s visa is processed or not. I meant sometimes CW misses out on something and needs some more clarification. You can clearly mention in the cover letter that you meet the maintenance requirement for £630 each for both yourself and your son and attach the same bank statements with the cover letter. Goodluck
