Urgent please help! Mistake on Set (m) application form after submitting - left out absences

Hi everyone,

Please help as I’m panicking a bit - I am on the 5 year route with spouse visa and just submitted the online set (m) form and booked an appointment in Croydon on Thursday. I looked through my application afterwards and realised for some reason under the question ‘Have you been out of the UK since you started living here?’ I put no - definitely a mistake thinking it refers to prolonged/excessive absences rather than short holidays. I’ve now realised I needed to detail every holiday in the past 5 years.

What should I do? Can I write a cover letter explaining my misunderstanding accompanied by a detailed list of all the holidays and bring it to my appointment?

Please help as I have no idea how I made this mistake and worried now that it will affect my application.

Thanks so much!

Katy

SET(M) has no absence limit criteria so it is not a issue. You may include a letter

Thank you! I also called the UKVI number today and they said case workers can correct some aspects of the application but not others. I know this is a very specific question but do you know if this is something they would be open amending/correcting?

I also read from other topics that we need to include the full travel history in the past 5 years so should I include a table as well with all the details?

Thank you very much!

The caseworkers follow the rules and make decisions based on those. The rules do NOT impose any absence limits on SET(M) applicants. Including a letter is optional and such information like travel history is irrelevant to a decision on SET(M)

Take a print out. Manually correct it. Upload the relevant corrected pages along with a cover letter BEFORE your appointment. You will be okay.
