Unemployed but only need 1 month and a half for ILR

Hi,

I am in a bit of a sticky situation.

I got made redundant at work and my last day was on the 28th of May 2019. I've been on a tier 2 general visa since 8th of august 2014, so I was eligible to apply for ILR starting 11th of July of this year.

I've received several job offers but unfortunately they couldn't sponsor, I am still looking for a job that can sponsor but worried about receiving the curtailment letter and not having enough time.

Given that I only needed 1 month and a half to be eligible for ILR, do you guys know what my options are? The British job market is extremely tough at the moment and I am worried finding a job on time might not work.

Regards.

You don't have any other than a Tier 2 sponsor if you want to apply for ILR. You cannot apply for ILR in your current circumstances.

Alternatively, you will have to find another visa you qualify for (tier 4, Innovator, start up) if you wish to remain in the UK.

I hope you are not working in any capacity.

thanks for the response, I guess my only option is to continue applying for a tier 2 sponsorship as the other visa options aren't applicable.
