ILR application while current job finishes in 3 weeks

Hello Gurus

Hope someone can shed some light on this.
I will be applying for ILR now for.myself and family but my current job contract finishes in 3 weeks and Tier 2 Visa is untill end of August 2019. I do have a job after this which I will start once I get my ILR.

Question is
1 Is it realistic to apply and get (priority application) ILR Set O in 3 weeks?
2. The letter from current employer says that they are happy to continue my contract based on the needs. Is this job change likely to be detrimental to my ILR application?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
RD

Your employer must state that they need you for the foreseeable future otherwise you cannot get ILR. If your job ends in 3 weeks, then you are not eligible for ILR

Hi all

Thank you for all the help.
I received an email exactly 24 hrs after my application to confirm our ILR grant based on Tier 2, 5 year route.

I waited for my wife and child to complete 5 years before I applied. I wanted to change jobs before application, but deferred it for 6 months till ILR was sorted for the whole family.

Timeline

Application submitted and payment made for Super- priority service on 1/8/19.
I am the primary applicant. Wife and child included in the same application.

Earliest convenient date - 12/8/19, Birmingham Sopra Steria. But the dates were limited.

Uploaded the documents myself. Looking back, was a good decision. Makes the appointment a breeze.

-Documents-

-Old & New Passports
-Consent 1 & 2 (part-2 signed by wife as some of the bills are addressed to both).
-Current BRP
-Life in UK (myself & wife)
-1 month most recent bank account downloaded statement (didn't get it stamped).
-2 months payslip ( to avoid discrepency- suspect most recent one should have been fine).
-Downloaded copy of ministatement covering the dates from the last statement date to current. Covering letter to explain the reason.
-P60 as an additional evidence for finance.
-Co-habitation evidence : Council tax annual summary for 2 years
- Water bill & Bank statement for confirmation of wife's current address.
- IELTS certificate attached (mine is 9 years old & wife's within 2 years) and I also have a master's degree from the UK.
- Employer letter
- Previous absence : Didn't have leave dates from employers. Copy of all the pages from both passports.

Experience : Morning appointment. Not very busy. Called to the reception at the exact time. Confirmation letter for 3 of us checked and token number allocated.
Wait of 15 mins, called in for Biometrics. 10 mins later for document check.
The only original documents they checked were current passport and BRP. They were handed back straight away.
In & out - 1 HR.

I told the person checking the documents that I was pleasantly surprised with the whole service. He informed me that decision would be emailed later in the day or the morning of the next.

Like many have highlighted, after the submission there is no confirmation given and I could still edit my uploaded documents. That was a bit unnerving!

Overall, it was a straightforward experience and the people there knew what they were doing.

Again, I appreciate all the help that the people on this forum provide.

Best wishes
RD
