Tier 2 to IRL - Submit application form before salary increase?

Hi!

I have a query and was hoping to get some advice on regarding salary and submitting an online application (Set O).

I’m a tier 2 visa holder, and have lived and worked in the UK for over 5 years. I’m now applying for ILR.

I’ve successfully negotiated a salary increase to allow me to meet the min salary requirements for my SOC code.

The new salary will take effect on 1/8/19, with the increased salary amount paid into my account on 30/8/19 (I’m paid on the last Friday of the month).

I’ve read on the “tier 2 policy guidance” form that I’ll need to submit my most recent payslip and bank statement showing I’m paid the amount stated on my sponsors letter.

My question: Am I able to submit an online application now (and input into the online form my increased salary) and set my appointment date to sometime in September?

Regards

Date of application is the date you submit and pay online and your supporting evidence must be dated no later than this date. So the answer would be no you can't apply online now.

Thanks CR001 for your response.

Though I'm a tad confused: In another thread (found here: posting.php?f=44&mode=reply&t=285913&si ... c747412934) you posted this:

"For ILR in person it is the date of your appointment that is the application date, as many people have already reported after successful applications in person."

Another thread: indefinite-leave-to-remain/date-of-appl ... l#p1693558

"Date of application is the premium service appointment date"

Doesn't that contradict your response?

Note: I am applying via the premium service route.

The topic you are referring to is the OLD premium service where you get a decision on the day as you attend an HO centre.

The appointments now are NOT 'premium service' with HO caseworkers. It is an appointment with a third party agent, UKCVAS Sopra Steria, who ONLY do your biometrics and documents checks and are NOT home office employees/staff/caseworkers. You now only have Super Priority (24 hours, not guaranteed though) or standard service (8 weeks.+).

With the online system, date of application is the date you submit and pay online.

With the old premium service centres, date of application WAS the date of your appointment.

There is no contradiction. The service has changed in November 2018.

Thanks CR001 for your detailed explanation. Much appreciated!

Unfortunately for me, it looks like I'll have to wait a little while longer to apply!
