Hi,

This is on behalf of my wife. She is planning to go for her ILR in 1st week of september. We have the following queries and which we are really concerned about.

1) Regarding 'Reason for Absence'

Below are the UK absences of my wife for the last 5 years:

1. 14/08/15 - 27/09/15 (43 Days) Annual Holidays/Personal Visit United States
2. 12/03/16 - 23/05/16 (71 Days) Annual Holidays/Personal Visit India
3. 25/08/16 - 29/08/16 (3 Days) Long weekend Holiday Trip France
4. 11/11/16 - 13/11/16 (1 Day) Weekend Holiday Trip Italy
5. 24/12/16 - 08/01/17 (14 Days) Bank Holiday/Personal Visit Canada
6. 21/02/17 - 06/04/17 (43 Days) Personal Visit India
7. 07/12/17 - 22/01/18 (45 Days) Business and personal India

For every absence from UK above, my Wife took her Paid annual leaves (28) and worked remotely abroad for the remaining days (which include bank holidays).

Question 1: As for most of the trips, the no.of days out of UK are more (like 71,43,43,14,45) , are the above reasons for absences looking good or do we need to mention more clearly? As i have read in another thread that its better not to mention 'Work from Home' as reason just to give unnecessary attention hence did not put that reason above. Do we need ask the employers to mention 'work from home' term in the absence letters?

Question 2: Row 7, Can we mention business as the reason for visit?

Do we need to mention regarding work from home in any other letters like Cover letter , etc?

2) Regarding UK NARIC certificate for English Language requirement -
My wife has got the old UK NARIC certificate in 2014 for UK equivalent degree and English language requirement. Are these certificates still valid for ILR application? or Do we need to request certificates again via RED route?

3) Row 7, While travelling back to UK, we had visited Dubai for 2 days (Break Journey) . How to include this in the letter?
