Payslip timing

Hi good evening all,

Question about this “28 day rule” Financial documents rule which is sort of vague on the SET(m) guidance online.

I was paid early on July 2019 due to the 28th falling on a weekend (28th July was a Sunday) Meaning I was paid on the 26th.

This means, it was over 28 days old on the 23rd of August. I’ve been asked to supply 12 months of Payslips and Bank statements, which show July’s salary on my July-August statement.

Just wondering if I could be automatically refused just on this basis alone? I’ve not received my August yet, not until the 28th.

Having re-read my post and unable to now edit, wanted to clarify that I meant the Payslip was dated on the 26th.

When did you submit your application online ? (NOT the UKVCAS appointment date)
The last payslip date must be within 28 days of your online submission
Where Appendix FM-SE requires the applicant to provide specified evidence relating to a
period which ends with the date of application, that evidence must be dated no earlier
than 28 days before the date of application.

Hi Zimba,

Thanks for your reply - I would of submitted it last night on the 25th of August. I held off as I'm able to apply up til the 15th of September. So felt better not risk it.

This will mean I'll need to get a interm statement (Which I hope UKVI accept!!) from my bank for the last two weeks of August that shows my August salary pay-in. This is because as I mentioned, my statements run from 14th until the 15th.

The date on the payslip matters only :!:
