SET (O) Or SET (M)

Hi,
I have been living in the UK for almost 5 years now (completing on 29th Nov 2019) on a Tier 2 dependant visa.
My partner got her ILR early this year, applied using SET (O).
I am under the process of applying for ILR, but confused about SET(M) or SET(O).
Also, when is the earliest I can submit my ILR application, given I will be completing 5 years on Tier 2 dependant visa on 29th Nov 2019. Can I submit it now and take an appointment for, lets say 30th Oct, which is exactly 28 days before I complete 5 years.

Set O
You can apply no sooner than within 28 days before the 5th anniversary of your initial visa issue date.
Date of application is the date you submit a d pay online and NOT your biometric appointment.

While the advice given by CR001 is technically correct, you still can apply before eligibility date and get ILR as long as you are within 28 days
on the day of your decision.

Just to be 100% sure - I should apply using Set(O) and I just need to make sure that the decision date in within the 28 days period. I can submit the application closer to the 28 days period and take an appointment on the first day of the 28 days period.
Given I entered UK on 29th Nov 2014, my 5 years complete on 28th Nov 2019. So, my 28 days period starts on 1st Nov.
I am planning to submit my application on 21st Oct and take a biometric appointment for 1st Nov.
Could you pls confirm my understanding one final time? Thanks in advance.

Just to add a bit more detail. My initial visa was issued on 14/08/2014. So does this change anything for me, with respect to the validity of my 28 days period? Thanks.

INITIAL visa date minus 28 days..
NOT date of entry.
Yes it changes everything! You were eligible for ILR since mid July 2019.

A single mistake on this would be worth thousands of pounds, so cant really take a risk
