Hi All,
I got my ILR last year, my wife is currently on tier 2 dependent and wants to apply for ILR. Her immigration history is:
First tier 2 dependent granted on 20/07/2014
First entry on 9/11/2014
Visa extended on 13/2/2017
Current visa expiry date on 1/1/2020
1- Could you please advise me when is she eligible to apply for ILR? I went through topics in this forum and some topics say from visa stamp date which is in this case is 20/07/2019 and some say from entry date which is in this case is 9/11/2019 minus 28 days i.e. 12/10/2019
2- could you please provide me an example of cohabitation documents i need to submit? Does it need to be for every month for the last 2 years?
Some of "proof of address" documents like energy bills are in my name only. Can i use her bank statements as proof of address?
3- is there a limit for her absences?
4- is maintenance funds required to be shown?
Your advice is really appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

1. It is from the visa issue date
2. Any documents can be used. Min 3 sources, covering last two years. Showing you both lived in the same plavce
3. No as her visa was issued before 11 Jan 2018
4. No ILR has no maintenance requirement

Many thanks Zimba for your reply.
Another question, her previous address wasn't reported to the police as she was abroad and when she came back, we moved to another address, the previous one was only temporary and i stayed their for 5 months, will this be a porblem?
The cohabitation will show the temporary address but the police registration certificate.
Thanks,

Hi All,
My wife applied for ILR on 1/10 (Tier 2 Dependent) and her appointment will be tomorrow morning.
I need your advice regarding cohabitation documents. we are planning to upload the following:
From 01-10-2017 to 1/2/2018: we will provide Payslip for wife and Water bill for myself
From 2/2/2018 to 1/6/2018: we will provide Council Tax (both names on)
From 2/6/2018 to 1/10/2018: we will provide bank statements for each one
From 2/10/2018 to 1/2/2019: we will provide NHS letter for wife and HMRC letter for myself
From 2/2/2019 to 1/6/2019: we will provide Council Tax (Both names on)
From 2/6/2019 to 1/10/2019: we will provide Bank statement for wife and TV License for myself
in addition to above, will provide all tenancy agreements we have.
could you please advise me if above is fine? do we need to add more documents?
For example, the period from 2/6 to 1/10, can the proof of address be any date in that period? i.e 10/8?
Your quick response is really appreciated.
Thanks,

Yes because cohabitation documents can be spread with even gap of 3-4 months.
