Hi All, I have a quick question on ILR.

I’m on T2 General & first entered Uk on 28/01/15 therefore, my 5 Year’s period will be completed on 28/01/2020 however my current visa is valid till 28/01/2021.

Am I eligible to apply for ILR in couple of months or need to wait till my visa expires.

does employer usually issue letter a year before visa expires? ( in case anyone has done similar to my case)

Did you enter the UK on Tier 2 General Visa in January 2015?

Yes, I got my first tier 2 (G) on 21/1/15 and travelled on 28/1/15 then visa extended in feb-18 for 3 Years taking expiry date to 28/1/21.

If you meet the requirements, you can apply for ilr within 28 days before the initial visa ISSUE date. So towards the end of December 2019.

You need an employer letter detailing your jobs stuff and a letter about your absences.

Not sure what letter you are referring to. I am unclear what you are actually asking.

What I’m asking is: if I apply for ILR in Jan-2020 with all required documents, the HO would not reject the application on the basis that my visa is valid until Jan-2021?
