Can you please advise if the 180 days allowed outside of the UK have been relaxed or what is the current policy, my family are in China waiting to return to UK, they left at the end of January and where in lockdown, but as China started their recovery, the UK locked down.

Flights are still arriving in the UK. The borders are not shut!!

As your wife is on the FLR fp route, based on your previous posts, this route doesn't have a 180 days absence limit.

If you are referring to ilr based on 10 years long residnece, then no, there has been no relaxation of this mandatory requirement.

Thanks for your reply, yes I understand the airports are still operating, but Stupid have cancelled flights, and some are imposing restrictions on entry.
China is considered a safer place to be currently than the UK as our distancing restrictions' are still quite strict.
My wife's time out of the UK is still within the 190 day yearly allowance until the middle of June, I am just checking if there has been any luck down restrictions relaxing the urgency to bring family back into UK under the current threat of Covid-19 that you are aware of :?:

Thanks for the reply,
Yes I understand the 180 days absence limit has not changed, however as the borders have been closed in all countries and flights have been grounded, there may have been a relaxation of the rules.
We have been trying to book flights from China to the UK and no travel agents will accept a booking at present as the flights that are mentioned on line are not confirmed and the agents do not want to have to accept money that will have to be returned as the flights are again delayed or cancelled, this is all due to Covid-19 and the worldwide lockdown.
I cannot find any statement from the home office on this subject unfortunately.
