When can I apply for an indefinite to remain (Spouse SET(M)

Hi,

Apologies but I am finding it really hard to find a simple answer to the question of when can I apply for my Indefinite leave to remain. My UK entry clearance visa was issued on 15/6/15, and I arrived in the UK on the 27th of July 2015. I keep reading about 28 days before - but there does not seem much clarity on 28 days from when?

Any help would be much appreciated.

You can apply no sooner than within 28 days before the 5th anniversary of the date you entered the UK.

Many thanks for the prompt response, which is much appreciated.

I will apply after the 27th June.

Kind regards,

Question in regards to this

If you can only apply then, it only really gives people one shot at getting application right first time.

I'm not trying to say people should not get things right, but mistakes are made.
If mistakes are made, with visa waiting time...a person will definitely overstay etc

Any views on this?
