ILR Long Term Residence Queries

Hello,

I have a British Citizenship based on Long Residence which I got in 2017. Now my wife has also completed her 10 years in UK (July 2020). I am wondering if you can help me with these queries please:

1. Is 10 year route the best for her as it doesnt appear that she would qualify for any other route even though I am a British Citizen or the 5 year route may be applicable?

2. She needs to give English test - she had given A1 in Feb 2018, but the gov.uk site indicates B1, B2, C1 or C2 are required? There doesn't seem to be any explanation of the difference between these tests and which ones should she go for.

1. All visa count for long residence and she just meet all of the requirements, including the strict absence limits for 10 years ilr. You haven't stated what your immigration/visa history is?

2. She needs B1 for ilr and liuk. The ukvi website is very clear on this.

Thanks so much for addressing my queries.

My immigration history is as follows:
2007-2009 - Student
2009-2011 - Post study work
2011-2015 - Student
2015-2017 - Tier 2
2017- ILR based on long term residence and subsequent citizenship

I have booked her for B1 and LIUK.

There are no more postal applications and do all need to be submitted online? I have completed the form (not submitted) but does the date of submission count as application date as her visa runs out on 4th October 2020. I understand that if we have made the application within the time frame, then it doesnt affect her visa status. Is that correct?

Many thanks for your support.

Yes, you have to apply online and upload your supporting documents after you have paid to the UKCVAS portal.

Date of application is the date you submit and pay the online form.

Correct, as long as you submit and pay online before the visa expires.
