Hello there,

My partner is making ILR application next week since she completes 5 years as Tier 2 Dependent.

My timeline is detailed as below and I have one basic question to start with.

March 2015 : I got Tier 2 visa
March 2016 : My partner entered UK as Tier 2 dependent
March 2018 : We both had visas extended
March 2020 : I received ILR
March 2021 : About to complete 5 years and make an application

Note: My partner didn't make new visa as ILR dependent last year since the Visa granted as Tier 2 dependent is still valid.

Question May I know which application form should be used online Set(O) or Set(M) ?

Your history shows you applied ILR via the Tier 2 route.

So she will apply on SET(O).

While making the ILR application using Set(O) for my partner , there are few questions asked corresponding to Tier 2 but its a little confusing since I already have ILR.


Which visa is Mr XX applying for or been granted? Although I already have ILR, the options listed in the application does not have that. She has to select Tier 2 (General) which was my route to ILR

Do you have one of these reference numbers for Mr XX? The options are VAF or GWF. why would they expect me to have one ?

If they have one, what is XX's sponsor licence number? Again, I already have ILR. The doubt is should she provide my sponsors' license number or not necessary?

What about VAF - where do I get that ? Or should I just say No ?
