i have been given ILR this year (i was on tier2 work visa). my wife ll apply in june 2021 for ILR. I want to know will she only get ILR or passport together? I have read that spouse of settled can get passport too. Please make me clear about this confusion.

She has to apply for ILR first. She has to apply for Naturalisation after 12 months of receiving ILR or right away after ILR if you become British Citizen by then.

My visa is expiring in april 2021 (5 year route-spouse) But 5 years ll be completed on 6th june 2021. when should i apply for ILR?

its spouse visa and Leave to remain tier 2 .

first tier2 was issued in may 2016.
second tier2 was issued on 07-07-2018 till 30-04-2021

Your wife who is on a PBS dependent visa can apply for ILR when she completes 5 years minus 28 days from the first visa issue date.

You said first visa issue date is May 2016?

So she qualifies in April/May 2016.

As you have not mentioned the exact dates, the estimate is stated as above.

She can apply for ILR on SET(O), 1 day before current visa expiry (must apply before expiry of current visa) and book an appointment only after when she completes 5 years minus 28 days from first visa issue date. As long a decision is made when she actually qualifies which is only possible after submitting biometrics, CW must take date of decision to count continuous residence.

Correction: So she qualifies in April/May 2021.

First visa issue date is 30 may 2016 and she arrived in Uk 06 June 2016

A PBS dependent was NOT required to prove an English test for their visa


You need a test that is valid (not expired) and on the current UKVI list of tests and test providers.

Apply on 29th April 2021 or even now (in your case) (MUST apply before current visa expiry) and book biometrics after 2nd May 2021 (which will be the case anyways as the biometrics run at a 28 day lag normally). As long a decision is made when she qualifies, she is fine. A decision can only be made after biometrics.

Applicants can submit a settlement application up to 28 days before they would reach the end of the specified period.
You must calculate the relevant qualifying period by counting backward from whichever of the following is most beneficial to the applicant:
• the date of application
• the date of decision
• any date up to 28 days after the date of application
