Tier 2 visa ILR & Driving Fine

Hi helpful people

I am due to complete 5 years in May 2022 and plan to apply for ILR with my spouse (Tier 2 dependant).

I believe I can apply in in March 2022 since my first visa issue date was in April 2017?

I also wanted to check, I received a FNP for driving a Escooter in London (June 2021) with 3 endorsement ponts on my provisional license. Due to miscommunication the police did not receive my license and payment was refunded. They considered my response late and after the allowed period. I was told that I wil be sent a court summon but somehoe i convinced them and later they issued a New FNP and the original was cancelled.

I paid the fixed penalty fine of £100 and got 3 points on my license. The offence code was RT88334 and £100 was paid to HM courts & Tribunal Services.

I wanted to know if this is a serious offence? given i got 3 penalty points will this have any impact on my ILR and ILR of my spouse?

Any help will be helpful as I am really worried about ILR.

Thank you in advance.

ILR for me and my husband

I moved to the uk on tier 2 work visa with my husband on PBS dependant visa in 2017.

We are due for ILR in a couple of months.

My husband is a director at his limited company which is involved in consulting and other businesses.

He appointed me as a director in 2018 with 0% shares just so he can travel and I can take care of the signatures etc if needed.
This would not involve any work but just using myself as a director and I asked my sponsor company. they were ok with me being a director with less than 5% in any business.

They did not advise on immigration but as a company policy they were fine with it.

I was appointed as the director in 2018 and resigned from the directorship in 2021 June and did not have any involvement in the business.

I want to know will this impact my ILR and my husband's ILR? I am not sure if I can be a director in my husband's company while on a tier 2 work visa.

I am worried about our application.

Appreciate any help!!!

ILR and Directorship

Hello everyone!

My wife and I moved to the uk almost 5 years back. She got a tier 2 work visa and I got a dependant visa. We can apply for ILR soon.

I’m the director at my limited company which i opened to conduct business including consulting etc. I appointed my wife as a director with no shares a few years back and she resigned in 2021. The reason she got appointed was so She can handle any banking formalities etc while I was away. She wasn’t involved in any work and did not spend anytime on it.

She is on tier 2 work visa so she asked her sponsor company and they were fine with her being a director in my business as long as it’s less than 20 hours, outside her work hours and less than 5%-10% stake.

It was a company policy but they did not advice from immigration point of view.

I am not sure if she can be a director in my business while on a tier 2 work visa. Will this impact our ILR? I can’t find information online.

Thanks in advance for any help.
