Can arrest affect indefinite leave to remain

My friend applied for indefinite leave to remain and the application was submitted in November last year. She got arrested in December last year and she was taken to the police custody for questioning, finger prints were taken at the police custody then later released under investigation . She hasn’t been charged yet but she’s still waiting for the police response. Can this affect her Leave to remain application? Kindly advise .

ILR application will likely be put on hold until the investigation is concluded

Another question. Will she be able to get the decision of her application from the home office or not ? This is a bit worrying.

Yea definitely because there's an ongoing case on him. If it ends up without any prosecution or he's acquitted then no but as it stands his application will be rejected or put on hold.
