Questions for ILR application (employment gap and letter)

Hi,

I'm on Tier 2 visa, 5 years route and I need some help with my eligibility and supporting documents. My case might be a bit complicated:

I moved to the UK in 2017 and have had two employers since then (still working under the second employer).

1. I have an employment gap of 8 months in 2020 , during that time never received a curtailment letter from the Home Office and my second tier 2 visa for my current employer has been approved. Is this employment gap a problem?

2. I don't have any contact with my previous employer, so I cannot get an employment letter showing that I worked for them. In the case I apply with only the letter from my current employer, is this sufficient? How will I prove that I worked in the UK between 2017-2020 for my previous employer?

Do you think I'm still eligible to apply?
Thanks!

1. No
2. A letter from your current sponsor is enough. You do not need to prove anything. Your work records are available to the UKVI for checks

Thanks a lot for your help Zimba!

I have another question. My first Tier 2 visa application was refused in the beginning but then the decision was overturned. In the ILR set O form they are asking:

Problems with immigration to the UK

Have you ever been:
refused a visa for the UK
deported from the UK
removed from the UK
required to leave the UK
refused entry at the UK border

Should I pick the option: refused a visa for the UK and explain it was overturned, or should I just pick the option I did not have any problems with?

HO do have your records, your response is to corroborate what is on file, not doing so can be taken as deception.
Therefore, indicate you were refused before and explain it got overturned.

can you please explain when and why it was rejected? did they reject you because of your employment gap? and how it was overturned?
I have 3 months gap I'm also a little worried.

please also let me know if you already received your ILR. Many thanks

OP was talking about a previous Tier 2 application being refused. This had nothing to do with their ILR application. Gaps in employment have no effect on ILR :!:
