7 Year Child Concession

The new changes to private life and the child concession is rather confusing and need some clarification please.
My children and I arrived in the UK in October 2015 on a T2 ICT visa.
I have subseqently got married to a British born national in 2020 and changed my visa to spousal and my children as my dependants. We were all granted leave on the 5 year route.
The children are both under 18 and will be living in the UK for 7 years in October. Does this mean that they may be eligible for ILR on the 7 year concession even if I do not yet have settled status?

It only applies to non-UK born children who were granted permission to stay based on private life:

Under the family route, children can settle when both parents settle as there is no residence requirement for them

Thank you Simba for your response.
So to clarify my thinking then.
My children were not born in the U.K. and even though I am on a spousal visa (Family Route) with them as a dependent, they would not qualify unless I am settled?

Not sure they would qualify even when you're settled. It's not automatic. They have to also apply for it (ILR) at the same time as yourself.
If they are 18 and above at the time, then they would need English assessment as well.

Correct.
