Date of application for ILR (a date when I was in the UK 5 years ago)

Hi, my wife and I were thinking to apply together for ILR in the beginning of August, but I am now worried that we won't be able to do so as she'd only entered the UK at the end of August 2018, her visa was approved at the end of July 2018. Do we both have to apply on the date/day when we were in the UK 5 years ago (I presume this is necessary due to the start of the counting of five years of continuous residence in the UK?) or can we both apply on the date when I was in the UK five years ago, as she is a dependent on my skilled worker visa?

Not sure why you think this. There is no requirement for ilr to have been physically in the UK at the start of the 5 years.

The qualifying period starts from the initial visa start date for PBS route ilr applications.

The requirement to have been physically present exactly 5 years ago ONLY applies under nationality law for naturalisation/citizenship applications. Such requirement does not exist for ILR application under the immigration rules

Thanks for your replies, I thought that that is also required for ILR. It's good to know it's not, but this brings me to a new question.

I was actually eligible to apply for ILR already in April this year, but I will be applying only in the beginning of August so I've asked my employer to confirm my absences from August 2018, not April 2018. Do you think that's OK?

The absence requirement applies to the ILR qualifying period, so just the most immediate 5 years, counting from the date of your application

Hi everyone. I'm planning to apply for ILR in a week, but a month ago I transferred a lot of money to my wife's account to pay for a big purchase which did not happen. She forgot to transfer the funds back and I ended up having a very low amount of money on my bank account for two weeks in July. This will be shown on the statement I'm planning to provide with my ILR application. Do you think this could be an issue?

This has no relevance to your ILR
