Application withdrawal/cancellation

Hi,

I applied for ILR today but found that it is not within 28 days before the expiry of my visa and I need to wait for 4 more days to be eligible for the application. I have paid the application fee but have not provided any supporting documents such as a letter from employer and a bank statement, etc.
Should I cancel the application and re-start an application again and re-apply later? Or, do they recognize my application once I provide all necessary documents/BRP (I can do this 4 days later)?

I would appreciate it if you could advise me how to deal with this situation?

Thank you.
Hugo

No need to cancel. You can apply within 28 days before the 5th anniversary date of you initial visa if you are on a tier 2/skilled worker visa.

The latest you can apply is the expiry date of the visa

Dear CR001,

Thank you very much for your reply. Very helpful.
My Tier 2/skilled worker expires on 16th Sept 2023. 28 days before the 5th anniversary date is 19 Aug. The application I submitted says "Date of Application: 17th Aug". Is it sill ok to proceed with the current application if I provide the supporting documents later than 19th Aug?

Thank you very much.

What date was your initial first skilled worker visa issued? Not the expiry date!

Did you apply for your initial visa within the UK?

You could have applied for ilr 28 days before 17 Aug.

You don't have to do anything, you're fine.

I applied the visa in Japan. (The UK entry clearance on my passport says valid from 22 Aug 2018 until 21 Sept 2018. Then I have a stamp by UK border on 29 Aug 2018.)
In this case, 5th anniversary is 22 Aug 2023 or 17 Aug 2023 (or 22 Aug 2023). So, I could apply later than 20th July (or 25th July).
Is this understanding correct?

Best,
Hugo

So today is 5th anniversary. In this case I need to renew the visa first? Or is it ok to proceed as I submitted my application exactly today?

You qualified already and there is no need renew, leave as is and let the process complete.
