PBS Dependent Visa / ILR Timing

Hello,
I came to the UK in September 2018 on a skilled worker visa and have just received my ILR.
My wife came to the UK on 14th November 2019 while her visa was issued on 17th October 2019.
Her current visa expires on 01st October 2024. Considering her 5 years would not have been completed by 1st October 2024, would we have to apply for an extension of the dependent visa and then apply for ILR 15-20 days later? Or can we apply for her ILR directly just before 01st October 2024?
Any help would be appreciated.
