Items of correspondence...

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been asked already. My husband is in the process of putting together everything for his ILR (set M) application. Regarding the letters of correspondence in both names.. we moved into our current home just over 1 year ago. Prior to this we were living at my mums house. So can our letters of correspondence over the 2.5 year period be for both addresses?

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks in advance. :)

ILR(M) - working during wait period.

Hi all,

My husband will be submitting his ILR (set M) application in the next few days. In hindsight we should've submitted earlier, but there was some confusion on our part as to what was the earliest date we could apply.

Anyway, his current Leave to Remain status expires on 24th Sep 2023. My question is, if he doesn't receive his ILR decision before his current BRP expires, does that mean he can't work after this date, until he receives his ILR?

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks

Your husband can continue to work while he's waiting for a decision on his SET(M) application. His residence rights are protected under Section 3c of the Immigration Rules

Cover letter needed?

Hi,

Husband has applied for ILR set m. His appointment is in a couple of weeks. We're in the process of uploading his supporting documents. Is a cover letter required? Will it be beneficial to include one? If so do I, as his husband and the person meeting the financial requirement need to include one too?

We've always included cover letters in previous applications, so I guess there's no harm in adding one. But I've never known for sure if it's necessary.

Thanks
