Previous employers letter - Skilled worker visa to ILR application

Hi lovely people in this forum,
I have a question about previous employer’s letter for ILR application. And your answer would be very much appreciated.
I’m about to apply for ILR (5-year work visa route).
My background is - worked for a big accounting firm in London for more than 4 years on T2/skilled worker visa, after I qualified for the exams etc I went to a small accounting consultancy firm on another skilled work visa and now with my new company for about 5-6 months.
My question would be:
1. do I need a letter of some form from my previous employer? – as I have been with my previous employer for so long and only been with my current employer only for a few month
2. As my previous employer is such a big firm with X thousands of employees, obviously the HR process can be bureaucratic and slow at times. If I do need the previous employer’s letter, do I need to wait until I get the letter before I can submit my ILR application?
Thank you so much if you could answer these for me, really appreciated!

You don’t need a supporting letter from your previous employer. Keep it simple and straightforward- the letter from your current employer only needs to state the role will continue into the future. Nothing else is need, no further info about your character, work performance or anything else.

Also don't create two same topics in different subforums - pick one and stick with it.

Thank you so much for your reply! My concern was just I've with my previous employer for 4.5 years and with the new employer only for a few months so just worried if no past employer letter would be an issue as I've been with them for most during my skilled worker visa period

It doesn't matter how long you worked for a previous employer. The requirement is for the current employer to confirm that the applicant is needed "for the foreseeable future".
Just imagine that the previous employer/sponsor ceased operations - which has happened to some and can happen to anyone - how is the applicant supposed to get any letter from them?
Also not everyone leaves employment in such terms that former HR is willing to write letters for visa applications for past employees.
Such requirement would be unreasonable.
Skilled worker to ILR - employer letter and online application

Hi lovely people in this forum, I have a few more questions on employer letter and online application to ILR
1. do I need 2 letters from current employer?
Do I need 1 letter from my employer stating that I'll be needed in the future and another letter confirming that I dont have any unapproved absences etc?
If the absence letter is needed, does it need to confirm all my absence in general or does only need to confirm my absence spent outside the UK?
2. Online application
I have chosen the right route - skilled worker to ILR, but the website is asking me to fill in the days outside the UK since I first arrived in the UK (I arrived on a student visa). I'm a bit confused here as I'm doing the skilled worker to ILR 5-year route, but looks like they're asking for information as people who are applying for 10-year route?
3. Do I need P45 or P60?
I haven't submitted the application so don't have a doc checklist at hand, it would take time for me to find the P45 and P60, would appreciated it if anyone can confirm whether P45 or P60 is needed.

DO NOT start a new post. Stick to this thread
1. READ:
All you need to know about the sponsor letter for Skilled Worker route
2. You only declare absences in the last 5 years
3. No there is no such requirement

Hello, thank you for your reply!
On 2, that's what I thought! But the online application is asking when was the first time I entered the UK, and asking for absences starting from there. That's why I'm super confused...
On 3, that's pref, made it a lot easier!

Respond with regards to the time on which your application is based.

Hello, can I ask a question of SWV to ILR regarding bank statement?
It says I need to submit the most recent payslip and matching bank statement - the problem is my bank statement only comes in on the 16th to get a whole statement of the previous month (which will be showing the payslip amount) but my appointment is earlier than the 16th - would I need to change my appointment time to be after when I get my bank statement or is there any other mitigation that I havent thought about?
Thank you!

Go into the bank and get a statement.
thanks for the reply - the bank told me to use one of their machine to print out the statement, which would only show the previous months' statement.

and the amount in my payslip is not yet included in that one yet.
