Tier 2 dependent to ILR with a few months gap from the main applicant

Hi,
I am on Tier 2 (General) visa since October 2019. I had then switched from my Tier 4 (Student) visa and my wife was a student dependent then. Since there was validity on my Tier 4 visa, my wife chose to apply for a Tier 2 dependent in January 2020. Now, as I am nearing the end of the 5 year tenure for my Tier 2 visa, I have to apply for an ILR by October 2024. However, my wife will not have completed her 5 years Tier 2 dependent tenure by then. What should we do to minimize costs at this stage? I realize that in case of her switching to a family visa, the ILR clock will be reset. Thank you for your suggestions.
