My family has completed 10 years in the UK and will be applying for ILR using 10-year lawful residence route. Currently wife and my children are dependent on me (ICT-dependent). I am not yet eligible for ILR. Can dependents apply for ILR before the main applicant - if all the other 10-year criteria are met?

Under the long residence route, individuals will apply for ILR in their own right and must qualify independently. Hence your immigration status and the fact that they are your dependants will be irrelevant

Hi, my child is 18+ and has completed all the education in Europe and in the UK including GCSEs and A levels. Does the child still need to take the English language test? If yes, which B1 exam is easier to prepare and pass? Thanks

The adult child needs LIUK test and English B1 test.

As I understand, only the super priority (decision in 1 day) option is available for ILR through 10 year route. The priority option of 5 days is not available.
Based on the experience of this forum, if all the documentation is proper, are we really getting decisions in a day? What happens if the decision can not be taken in a day for whatever reason - like clarification . additional details etc? Do we get super priority charges of £1000 refunded? More importantly, does application still treated as super priority or it automatically gets shifted to normal queue?
Critical question - if one of the members (parent) ILR application is delayed, will it affect other members of the group especially children's applications?
Bit confused. 4 members so weighing my options.
Also any idea whats the normal / typical processing time post biometric for 10 year ILR route ? Thanks

We cannot tell you what to expect. There are no guarantees at all as every application is unique and has its own circumstances. It is often the case that UKVI will decide on a stalled priority application after any issue/concern they have is resolved. Again this all depends on how complex the issues are

Priority fee will only be refunded in certain circumstances: Immigration and nationality refunds policy

SET(LR) requires you to apply on your own and qualify on your own. Each application will be separate so there is no dependence on other applications or their outcome.

Should I process mothers application first and then childs application? Thanks

Under LR, that isn’t so. All applicants are independent.

I am applying for the LR ILR, and the first part of the application mentions "All your reasons for wanting to stay in the UK."

Any recommendations on what should be included in this part? Does this have a bearing on my ILR application decision?
Also, do I need to include the cover letter - is it mandatory / recommended for LR ILR? Any format or guidance on the same would be really helpful.

You do NOT need any other reasons to stay in the UK. If you answer YES you get a request to submit documents which will confuse you. That question is intended for people who normally do NOT qualify, not you

I know this depends on every individual case complexity but based on the experience of the forum members, on an average / typical - what are the timelines of standard category ILR results for SET LR? Are we getting results in about 3 months? At the time of application, its mentioned as 6 months and so want to understand the ground reality just as an indicator. Thanks.

Keep an eye on the timeline topic. It can take up to 6 months, sometime less, sometimes longer.

I am bit confused about knowledge of English question -----
Do you have a previous visa, entry clearance or leave to remain where you had to prove your knowledge of English?
My partner had a Tier 4 student visa and for which she had to take Duolingo English test and also Tier 2 General visa for which she had submitted NARIC certificate.
So shall I answer to below question as yes and which visa to include??

Relived that we dont have to take another test.

Further to be sure, at the time of Tier 2 General, it was only UK NARIC and none of IELETS or Trinity or Oxfod. Hope that's fine. Thanks.
