Thanks.

If you plan on registering the child as british once ypu get ilr, no need for a visa. However note that the child only gets 3 months free nhs after birth, after which you have to pay at 150% cost if you dont get a visa for the child. So make sure you have medical insurance.

You can apply for child's citizenship after one of the parents receives (not applies for) ILR.

No. A UK born child has an entitlement to register and do not need a foreign passport.

Online Form, birth cert, parents ILR. A checklist will be generated to tell you what is needed. Also, take the time to read through the MN1 Guidance notes, it is all explained in there.

All uk children below the age if 18 have an entitlement to register as british once either parent gets ilr.
There is no absence limit for uk born children.

I checked that normal processing time for an ILR application is 6 month so what happens to children visa status during that time ? As my 8 year old son will not any visa to stay in UK as his tier 2 dependent visa will expire before I received ILR visa .

He then has no status in the uk and is an overstayer. This has NO effect on his entitlement to register as british.

Employment Letter Requirements for ILS Set (O) form

As i understand there are two letters needed for submission for ILR ( skilled worker 5 year route)
1. Employment stating your current salary and that you continue to be needed for your job. Do they need to mention the SOC code as well and working hours ?
2. Absences from the UK - My spouse ( applicant) have travelled many times to see the extended family oversee during holidays etc. What HR has to mention in the letter as these absences were for personal travel not work related. The HR is asking why you need this ? What shall i request them to write in the letter ? Is there anything else i need from employer ?

In the form it's mentioned to provide evidence for absences from UK. What should be mentioned in the letter from HR ?

I have already explained that such a requirement does not exist under the rules for skilled workers.
What you see on the form is the legacy of the old Tier 2 rules. Follow the advice given, just as hundreds before you have done

We were just going to submit the form and realized that the main applicant physical BRP card is probably lost and unable to find that .
Do we need that on the day when biometric happens as i do have scanned copy ?

Code: Select all
The eligibility rules (paragraph SW 24.1.) require the sponsor to still hold a Skilled
Worker licence. The sponsor must confirm they require the applicant to work for
them for the foreseeable future, and the applicant will be paid at least the minimum
salary in paragraph SW 24.3. for the foreseeable future.
