I have made an ILR application and attended the biometric appointment in April, but would now like to withdraw and apply overseas (vaf af allows the application to be make aboard), my question is will i be able to get a refund on the original application fees? If so how can i do it?

No refunds for ILR usually if you have already attended biometrics.

Also, where does it stated you can apply for ILR outside the UK? You cannot, ILR is specifically an application made within the UK.

Apologies , I meant applying ILE outside the UK under VAF AF. So my application wont be varied even if I apply under the same route outside the UK?

What is your current or last visa category you have held and your full UK immigration history?

If your visa has expired, when did it expire?

How old are you?

If you leave the UK while you have an application is pending, it is automatically withdrawn. You can't vary an application made outside the UK from an application made within the UK.

Where does it state you can apply for ILE on VAF AF from outside the UK (provide the official UKVI link where it says this)?

For clarity, based on the OP's other post, they likely come under the Immigration Rules Appendix Gurkha and Hong Kong military unit veteran discharged before 1 July 1997.

Because of their father's military service in Hong King pre-handover, they would be able to apply for ILE (if outside the UK)/ILR (if inside the UK) directly.

Of course they still need to meet all the requirements for naturalisation fully, in their own right.

It’s just frustrating not being able to travel and it have been four months since my bio i am worry that it won’t be processed within the six months timeframe. But thank you for your responses

There is no absolute assurance that applying priority will get the application processed within the quickntime frame you yearn for.
Exercise patience.

Hi all. I am applying as the adult child of a former Hong Kong veteran within the UK. My father has already been granted ILR earlier this year. I got an email from HO on Friday asking where is my father is residing, he is currently in HK at the moment to wrap up work before officially moving to the UK (my response to the CW). My question is will this affect my application? (I am under full-time education in the UK) Many thanks.

Anyone have any idea how long will it take for the home office to make a decision after receiving my response? (Asked and replied the CW on Friday) And will my father’s absence from the UK affect my application? Thank you
