ILR Questions

Hello Gurus

My status in the UK is as follows:

1. Came to the UK in December 2019 via Tier-2 General visa with my partner (initial 3 years visa).
2. Had a baby born here in Y-2021.
3. Got visa renewed for myself and dependents in 2021 for 3 years (new visa valid to the end of next year-2025).
4. Had a second child here recently and my ILR is due next month.

Questions:

1. Can me and my partner apply for ILR without my kids? As we are thinking of applying of their naturalisation straightaway after our ILR since they both are born in the UK. First child has a visa valid to the end of next year, the second child is just born and doesn't even have a passport yet.
2. Is there any question related to the kids in the application? if yes does it warrant a passport? Should we go ahead and get a home country passport for the 2nd kid as well?

1. Yes you can. Note children are Registered as British, not naturalised (only adults are naturalised).

2. Not sure which application you are asking about. A uk born child does not need a passport to register as British.

Bear in mind that you only get 3 months free nhs for your second child. After that you may be charged 150% of the cost as the child has no legal status.
