TIER 2 EXPIRY 3 MONTHS BEFORE ILR

Hi guys, please, I need some input on this:
I am currently on a Tier 2 Skilled Worker visa, valid until January 7th, 2027. However, my ILR application can only be submitted after April 7, 2027, which means I will have been on the visa for 5 years.
What can I do to avoid applying for a new visa just 3 months before ILR?
Thanks

My son was born in the UK a year ago, and I am currently under the skilled worker visa.
I have not applied for a dependent visa for my son as we are not planning to travel outside of the UK.
I am only waiting till next year so we can apply for ILR together, is there any issue with this, please?

What date was your visa approved and issued?
Did you apply abroad or within the uk initially?

A UK born child can be registered directly as British using form MN1, after one parent gets ILR. The child does not need a visa or ILR
