Impact on ILR timeline when switching visa

Hello, I am currently on a skilled worker visa with my wife and child as dependents. We have ~2 years left until we are eligible to apply for ILR. Due to potential job cuts at my company, I am uncertain if I will be affected.
My wife has found a sponsor, and we are considering switching her from a dependent visa to a skilled worker visa for additional security. I think this switch will affect her ILR timeline and she will need to start the qualifying period again from scratch, right?
Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated for our circumstances.
Thanks!

Correct. You cannot combine dependent time with kakn visa time to make up 5 years for ilr.

Correct. You cannot combine dependent time with main visa time to make up 5 years for ilr.

Corrected *main*
ILR application date (Primary vs. Dependents)

Please consider the following details:
- My Skilled Worker visa is valid from 19-Mar-21 to 25-May-26.
- My dependents’ visas are valid from 14-May-21 to 25-May-26.
I have received conflicting advice and would appreciate help to clarify which statement is correct:
- I can apply for my ILR as early as 19-Feb-26 without affecting my dependents’ visas, allowing them to apply for their ILRs from 16-Apr-26 onwards.
- Or, all must apply together no earlier than 16-Apr-26, because if I apply before that, my dependents’ visas may become invalid as they are linked to my Skilled Worker visa status.
Please consider this as well - I intend to use the priority service, so if I apply on 19-Feb-26, my ILR would be granted before 16-Apr-26, if everything went well.
Thank you very much for your guidance.

You don't have to all apply together.
Their visas do NOT become invalid when you get ILR!!
