Hello,

I'm applying for my ILR after working 5 years in the UK.

- I was originally employed by Company A from December 2020 under Tier 2 (General) visa
Our team was TUPE transferred to Company B in |April 2025
My current visa is based on the COS given by company A

- I've had continuity of employment since 2020

Do I need to use Company A or Company B"s sponsor number in ILR application

please reply
regards
Kalai

Under TUPE you are not issued a new COS, so you only have one COS

Ask your employer to check in Sponsor management system under which sponsor license number you are now.My wife had a similar situation as you where her company A has been acquired by another company B and she moved under TUPE transfer to company B.Her last COS was issued by company A

During aquistion process Company B has requested home office to move all employees under Company A sponsor license number to Company B sponsor license number and same was updated by home office.

For my wife ILR we used Company B sponsor license number as that is where she is under now

Better check with your employer on this.
