Hi Team,
Thank you for the excellent and selfless work you are doing for migrants
My immigration story is quite a convoluted one so I will cut to the chase.

I made an in-country application to switch to FLR(PT) using the Covid Concession in 2020.
Below is my timeline;
• 21 May 2020 – Submitted FLRFP application in country under LTRPT 5 year route guidance
• 15 Jan 2021 – Decision on 10 year route
• Jan to March – Reconsideration application made
• March 2021 - Application approved on 5 year route (back dated 15 Jan)
• 12 July 2023 – 1st ext made on 5y route (priority service)
• 12 July 2023 – Decision made on 10 year route
• 12 Jul 2023 – Reconsideration made
• Sept 2023 – reconsideration approved on 5 year route (back dated 12 July)

Question;
On the basis of the above, when will I qualify to apply for ILR taking into consideration.
I) Covid concession – allowing applicants including visitors to switch in-country
Ii) Section 3c (making a valid application in country but on a visit visa?)
iii) CEC- Would this allow me to use the period from (Aug 2020) as an applicable period to begin continuous presence following the elapse 3C , when my visa expired?
Iv) After decision date on 12 Jan 2021( ie 5 years after )

Thank you in advance for your assistance as I consider my options

Time spent waiting for the outcome of a family visa application does not count towards your ILR, so your qualifying period under the 5 year parent (??) route started on 15 Jan 2021

Hi Zimba,

I was hoping for your response and you never fail. Apologies for my late response, I did not get a notification for your response.

Thank you ever so much for clarifying my position.

I will put in my application for ILR parent route from 18 Dec 2025?

Another Q,
My extention decision letter did not state 'when ' I would be eligible for ILR except a valid date of until 12/01/26. I have tried looking for sample extension decision letters with no success.
My concern is I wasnt put back to start 5 years following the 2nd reconsideration?
Would you be familiar with this situation and can you comment?

Appreciate all the support and insights

Much Blessings

What is important on a decision letter is to confirm you were granted leave/extension under the same 5-year route. When you qualify for ILR is determined by the urles

ILR application -English requirement and others ....

Hello,
I am hoping to make to submit my ILR application to take advantage of the (delayed) biometrics concessions - thanks Zimba for highliting that in another thread. I seem to be getting myself in a mudlle and hope with the form and hoping for some advise here.

1. I have previously used my UK degress for my FLR applications , however I am confused with the requirements for ILR based on the below questions;
- Have you provided evidence of your English language ability in a previous application?
Yes
- Have you passed an approved English language test?
Yes/No?? (I have not written any SELT tests). However answering 'No' takes you to exemptions on 'age' and 'health' which are not applicable to me.
- Did the test assess your speaking and listening skills at a level equivalent to CEFR B1 or higher?
Yes/No??
- How did you get your result?
Certificate ???

Do I go with the above answers or answer No and hope they will note my Degree certificate in my documents?
There is no where in the questinaire which aloows you to indicate you are using a degree certificate?

Grateful for any guidance, I will add further Q's as I go through the questions

You should respond yes to all.

A UK degree certificate is the equivalent of passing an English test. This is not different from your previous applications.

Hello again,
Seeking further guidance before submitting my application
@Zimba, I know you have covered this before , but happy for any comments on this .
I hope to take advantage of the 'Decision date' for application concession.

- 1st FLR date on 5yr parent route - 20/01/2021
- Intended Application submission date - 12/13/14 Dec 25
- Intended biometrics date - 23/24 Dec if available for Super Priority

1. Can you please comment if I will be complaint if I go as per the above?

2. I have had to use Reconsideration to stay on my 5 years rout on both occasions due to 'Covid In country switch concessions'. What are some critical points and where should these be higlighted to avaiod any unnecessary pitfalls as I would like to avoid where possible all the stress that comes with delayed decisions.

Always appreciate the support and kindness on this platform.

God Bless
