1 Financial requirement
How much do have to show my earnings to qualify in 5 yrs route, Flr (m) visa got approved in 2021 and extention got approved 2024,
2 the problem what i have rightnow i always showed my husband income in all my previous applications but recently he got redundant from his job,, what are the option i have now ?
3. if i go with 16000 plus saving option how does this works, Do i have to 16000 in my own Account for a year or i just need to show them that i have 16000 plus in my account before i submit my Ilr application, im applying with my dependant son , exactly how much do i have show for both application.

1. If you are applying with a child dependant, the min income required is £22,400 per year under category A or B.
2. You can either use your own income or cash savings. This is assuming he cannot get a job by the time you are applying for ILR
3. You can use a value equal or greater than (cash saving amount - £16,000) towards your ILR. In your case, the min cash saving amount is £38,400 ( £38,400 - £16,000 = £22,400 which is the min value needed for you and your child)
Savings must be held in cash in a personal bank / savings account in the name of the applicant, their partner or the couple jointly where that balance should be held for at least 6 months.

You can only combine salary earned in the same period. To claim self-employment income, you must provide a self assessment which in your case will be for the tax year period of April 2025-26 (earliest to be filled next month). To combine that income with any other income, such income earned must have been earned in the same tax year period. Also, any source of income being claimed must be ongoing.
So in a nutshell, any income earned in the period April 2025-26 can be combined, assuming such sources of income are still ongoing. Note that your wife can only claim the last 6 months of that period only as per category A. The min income required is £22,400 as advised before

Thanks Zinda, what my understanding is, i can include my salary + redundancy money in april month 2025 + my Uber earning starting from may 2025 till march 2026 + new job earnings , feburary and march salary, all of the earning has to be 22400 to qualify for ILR 5 years route

If you were made redundant from a job in 2025, then that source of income is
NOT still ongoing, so it CANNOT count they way you intend to combine them

Hi, zimba, i got you, suppose if i dont fulfil the ILR financial requirement then i should apply for extension of my visa which again 2 and half years leave to remain, ( 10 years route )
Now my question is, when can i apply for ILR , because i came in Uk December 2017 as per my understanding i am eligible to apply for ILR after Dec 2027 ( completing 10 year legally in the Uk)
When can I apply for ILR ?

If you do not qualify for ILR, you will not qualify for an extension under 5-year route either. You should extend via FLR(FP) under the 10 year route and settle when you have total of 10 years under the long residence
