5 years ago my wife unfortunately had the date of her spousal visa expiry wrong and overstayed by about a month, she informed her employer and the home office. With the help of a solicitor she essentially got a penalty of continuous residency reset back to 0. We're now applying for ILR and i've seen its best to advise of the situation from the past but don't see anywhere to actually disclose this. All spousal extensions since have gone without a hitch. Shes passed the Life in Uk test, no need for language proficency.
Am i right in assuming that the Home office will know of the situation but we should at least disclose this in the application? Thank you

If asked about previous overstaying, you declare it. That is all
