dependant ILR query

Dear All,

can a dependant child get ILR once she cross 18 years and has completed 5 years if one parent becomes British citizen but other parent have not received ILR.

No, the dependant child's status remains tied to that of the second/less-privileged parent till ILR. The dependant child should qualify for ILR at the same time as the second parent (unless they qualify on the 10 year Long Residence route).

Being over the age of 18 years does not affect their dependent ILR pathway.

After ILR, as the child is already 18 years old, they will need to meet all the requirements for naturalisation (one year wait after ILR, absences and physical presence requirements, LITUK and English language tests, etc) as any adult. They can't register as a British citizen any more.
