Can I get my wifes Indefinite Leave to Remain revoked?

Hi all

In a nutshell, my wife and I married 2 years ago.

On the day to get the ILR, went to Lunar house, and successfully got it.

1 day later she moved out, and disappeared, only 6 months later did I hear something in the way of a divorce petition, stating silly things, that we werent getting along, and I didnt show her affection etc.

I am absolutely saddened she could do such a thing, and even its been a year now, the bitterness is not going away.

I want to know what you think my chances are, and how to go about if possible getting her ILR revoked. I am not sure it can even be done, but if it can I will try my best to make it happen.

At the end of the day, her visa was granted under fraudulent circumstances.

I know the UK government has little backbone when it comes to deportation etc, I know they wouldn't even remove some serious illegal criminals, so I am aware that this revocation may well be practically impossible.

Any advice most welcome.

Thanks.

At the end of the day there is no proof of fraud, it's your word against hers so I doubt the UKBA will act.

You could try, but I suggest it's best to put it down to experience and get on with your life.

Where was she from incidentally? My guess is the Former Soviet Union.....

Yeah my word against hers, but my family will confirm she moved out the very next day, they have had to put up with the turmoil of it all.

I have written to the Secretary of State, and am waiting to find out whether I stand a chance, as I understand it, ILR can be revoked.

I know walking away and getting on with my life is the best thing, but unless you are in my position, you wouldnt really understand.

But thanks for the advice, really appreciated.

No, she wasnt from the USSR.

I think you're fighting a losing battle, Snomy. But I understand why you're doing it. Nobody likes to be used. Good luck.
