Need some urgent help, my friend is about apply for his ILR, currently on 2 years spouse visa, unfortunately last night his kid ripped one of main page of passport (Pakistani) accidently,
He got 34 days left on present visa (enough time to get new passport but not enough to transfer visa to new passport)

as far as i know, there is no requirement to transfer visa sticker onto new passport. Just send your old passport along with new passport(if old one is expiring in 6 months) and the new visa will be stamped on the new passport.

His visa photo and visa pages are fine, just one of empty page got ripped from middle. and he already recived new passport.

He is worried about his satuation, He rang home office but they are giving different answers every time he ring, e.g passport is voided so d visa he need to apply for leave to remain again and after two years he can apply for ILR
Again he rang to know which form to use they replied no need to apply new visa as visa is still valid just need to keep old passport with new one,

Home office making him more confused.

Any idea if his visa is still valid or not.
