Doubt regarding ILR

Hi,

I had a small doubt regarding ILR.I am a dependent of WP holder who is going to complete his 5 years by 2010 march.We got marrid by 2006 and I came to Uk by may 2006.If we are going to apply as a family for Ilr will they consider my leave (OUT OF COUNTRY).Because at present am in india .I came to india for my delivery last oct and planning to go back by june.please help me.

To be included in the main applicant's application, you will need to be physically in the UK at the time of application. Besides your passport will be with the HO so you won't be ableto travel for the period before they send it back.

You two need to sort out the arrangements for you both apply for ILR together after you come back from India. :wink:

ILR = Indefinite Leave to "Remain". To be granted permission to "remain" (for limited period or indefinitely) you need to be phyiscally present in the UK to make an application (or be included in an application as a dependent/spouse/partner etc.).

It has already been suggested earlier that you may not be eligible to make an application for ILE (Indefinite Leave to Enter) from home country.
