Date of Entry into the UK [Section 6.1- SET(O)]

Hey guys,
Just wondering if someone can advise me on Section 6.1 of the SET(O) form.
6 . 1 When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this application is based.
Since I was already in the UK on student visa when I got my WP. I am guessing it should be the date my FLR(IED) was stamped.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Many thanks.

i too have the same query but I am guessing it should be the date when the ILR would start to count from.So in case its a 5 year case ,then the date you got yoru WP or if its a 10 year stay case ,you should count from ur student entry.

I guess you are right, if it is a 5 years WP or HSMP or Tier1 or Tier2 it should be the date your FLR(IED) was stamped.

Further Leave to Remain (FLR) is the extension visa given to an individual after exhausting the initial date on his/her Entry Clearance (EC) or initial FLR if he has not gotten an ILR and he need more time to complete a qualifying period.
Yes, you start counting the day you entered after you are granted WP or HSMP and your passport was stamped with an Entry Clearance (EC) and then stamped at the immigration at point of entry into the UK, if applying from outside.
For Example if you are on WP+WP+HSMP+Tier1 = 5 years, entered the UK by 27-May-2006, then you will be qualifying for ILR by 01-May-2011.
Yes, you start counting the day you are granted WP or HSMP and your passport was stamped with a Further Leave to Remain, if applying as in country, that is, applicant already within the UK with a qualifying Visa.
I hope this will help you!

Thanks Iyanu.Wp was granted on 23rd March 2005 in India and came to UK on 13th April 2005.So I guess the date should be 13 april 2005 for section 6.5.

Hello,
My ILR is due in Feb2012. I have the simmilar queries.
I first came (entry) on 23-Sept-2004 on student visa (till Nov2005),
then got another student visa extension from Nov-2005 to Feb-2006
then whole Feb-2006 to Feb-2007 was on SEGE extension visa
then got WP stamped on 26-Feb-2007 (for 5 years till 26-Feb-2012)
then got HSMP stamped on 17-Jan-2008 (for 2 years till 17-Jan-2010)
then got Tier1 extention stamped on 5-Nov-2009 to 17-Jan-2013 (for 3 years)
Which date should I declare
23-Sept-2004 on student visa
or
WP stamped date on 26-Feb-2007 ?
your prompt reply would be much appriciated.
Thanks you,
Pranav

ILR SET(O) - Section 6 Immigration History Q. 6.1 & 6.2

I came in UK on student visa in 2004. In 2007 I got HSMP, in 2010 I got extension on Tier 1G Now I am applying for ILR which in expiring on 14/01/2013.
6.1 When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This
refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of
the period of stay on which this application is based.
Would it be date of my first entry in the UK or the date before i got extension for Tier 1G from HSMP?
6.2 Since then have you had any absences from the UK? If yes, give the dates you left and returned to the UK and the reason for the absence in the spaces below. List all absences however short and in date order. If you need more space, continue on a separate sheet and enclose it with your application.
Do I have to mention all the absences since I am in the UK or the only last 5 years?
6.3 what evidence has been provided to support the reasons for all absences from the UK?
I am on Tier 1G, do i need to provide any evidence if yes so what kind of document?
Please help!
