Hi all,
can anyone please help me out and to make things clear its for my friend and i still have one more year to apply for ILR
anyways he is on a work permit since last 4 years and prior to that he was on a dependent visa of a hsmp holder for one year
so my question is can he add that one year towards his 5 years stay or he has to wait for one more year to be eligible?
any info or help will be very much appreciated

Time spent in UK as a dependent does not count towards residential qualifying period when the applicant applies for ILR on his/her own merit.

In other words, wait for another year (to complete the 5yr. requirement).
