ILR after 4 years but unsure of documents required

Hi Immigrationboards,

Just looking for some clarification on something. I am enquiring about the possibility of applying for ILR. I originally applied for my HSMP in February/March of 2006, it was initially rejected because they claimed my payslips were photocopied and I appealed and subsequently had the visa approved. I received the acceptance letter on the 12th April 2006.

I am aware that the judicial review changes mean that if you applied before 6 April 2006 you are able to qualify for ILR after 4 years. But do you require any documentation to prove this? The only document I have is the original letter confirming my HSMP approval on 12 April 2006. I am guessing they must have records of some sort for this? The only other option I have is to hope that 1st Contact has a copy of this :-(

Thanks in advance
Steve

I had similar situation. actually i got the approval letter in May 2006. Search your email box, and maybe you will find their initial acknowledgement email. i asked for a SAR as well, and it took less than 1 week to get a copy of my initial application. there is a sticky thread on how to get a SAR.

below is the thread I posted a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks, this has REALLY made my day. I've been thinking I will have to do community service for a year or complete a three year ILR all this time! As it seems next year April they are bringing in a load of new rules. It wouldnt be so bad if you didnt have to get a schengen everytime you visit the continent.
